"The Last Acre Gone"

The inclusion of this text shows the confusion we have experienced since learning of the existence of the document "Times Deceased" as described on the introductory page.

“The last acre gone” is the last chapter of “Mackenzies of Scatwell” or “Times deceased”. Mr Jackson provided us with Xerox copies of those 5 pages entitled “The last acre gone”. In time we may be able to compare them with the equivalent in “Times Deceased”. The last sentence in "Times Deceased" refers to "last acre gone". 

Unfortunately chapter XV of the 5 pages below does not match the "Times Deceased" pages on the original Macintyre's copy.
