The history of the Findon Hall can be downloaded here. The story of the Good Templars in Culbokie who were responsible for the provision of the Hall can be found here

The image of the autograph sketch is by courtesy of Christine Bremner. A matching image is available on the Village School page. We would love to know who Betty was! For the background to the parents of Annie we recommend this page

In 2020 a decision was made to take advantage of the shut-down of all facilities due to the COVID-19 situation to re-roof the Hall. The story of this project and supporting photographs can be viewed here.

As can be seen here the viewpoint was not from the north but to the north. 1994 - view of the cottages on the left of the previous photograph. Abandoned when Glentyan on the left was built by the Bethunes

Angus Bethune "I'm attaching a later photo of the same properties taken from Woodside - this would be in the 1930's and includes Uncle Jimmy's shop (and tailoring workshop) with the gable window (which had been removed before my time) attached to Cuidrach.[now known as Glentyan] The grain store and mill are there, and the old house, but no lorry garage."
Unfortunately the image still misses out on showing Schoolcroft cottages.
