Bridge replacement at Findon Cottage/Findon Mills

For a few years prior to 1988 the bridge over the Findon Burn  was showing signs of weakness due to the damage being created by the ever increasing size of the farm vehicles passing over it. In March 1988 the Highland Council must have discovered surplus funds in their Roads Budget and decided to replace the bridge with a culvert. The photographs below are an amalgamation of those taken by the aforesaid properties.
