ARCH Black Isle Heritage Memories

The history of the community had been explored by Archaeology for Communities in the Highlands (ARCH) and the Black Isle Heritage Memories Project from December 2009 to May 2010. Two documents were produced "Black Isle Heritage Memories : Remembering Your Community" (Susan Kruse and Cait McCullagh) and  "Black Isle Heritage Memories : Remembering Your Community Avoch, Culbokie and Tore" (Cait McCullagh).

The detailed results for Culbokie can be found on pages 21 through to 35. Unfortunately a few errors have crept in which wasn't at all surprising given the difficult task of recording the various conversations taking place at the same time however much Cait tried to restrain us. Two images of the group socialising are in the Gallery below.

The sessions were completed by March 2010 and it was decided to hold an outdoor session at Findon Mills to view the Dun and the Mill building and its surroundings, photographs of which can be found by clicking on the image.
