Findon Hall’s new Logo!

In late autumn 2024, Findon Hall Management Committee unanimously agreed that Findon Hall deserved a logo. The decision was made to run a logo competition, inviting designs from pupils at Culbokie Primary School. We were keen to involve the youngest members of the village giving them an opportunity to design a logo that represented Findon Hall. The pupils were encouraged to think about the hall’s history, its location and setting, the activities and events that are held there, and what Findon Hall means to the community. A presentation of slides was compiled to give background to the hall’s history, including the Millennium Cairn and the Time Capsule buried under the Cairn. 

From over 30 striking designs, the winning entry was by Anna Thorpe, while designs by Katie Day and Daisie Hannan were highly commended. Anna put the Millenium Cairn at the centre of her design which has been digitized by Lesley Weir for use on letter heads, posters, and on Findon Hall website and Face Book Page. 

Anna, Katie and Daisie were presented with Waterstones vouchers by Findon Hall committee members at a special ceremony at the school. We would like to thank all the children who took part and give a special mention to Lesley Weir and headteacher Ishbel MacLeod.
