Findon Pier OS1/28/31/17 This name applies to a stone pier projecting into the Cromarty Firth immediately N. of Findon Quarry. The eastern side is built of masonry, the western side is of loose rubble work. There are 3 cranes for hoisting the stone from the adjacent quarry, on the pier. It is the property of Cpt. J. D. MacKenzie fo Findon (scored out) Mountgerald by Tain Immediately north of this pier is an enclosure which was originally intended for the rearing of mussels and about a 1/2 mile to the north west is a small mussel scalp.
